This is the story of a disaster
This is the story of when I lost it
I was the perfect stay-at-home mother
Until the school board announced a picnic
Such great shame, you can’t imagine!
I tried to bake, I always do
But, oh, the shock when I discovered
We were completely out of flour!
I felt the panic growing, couldn’t make my cupcakes
I checked again, I checked all over...
No more, no more, no more, no more, no more! It’s empty!
Oh, such dismay
Oh what a scandal!
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
Could almost hear the children crying
Could sense my husband’s shame and horror
To save the day I made meringue, but
In my distress, I made an error
I added salt instead of sugar!
And when I brought them to the party
They were so fowl that the headmistress...
Had to vomit on the trifle!
The other mothers gloated, oh, the looks they gave me...
Full of reproach, and slight excitement
No more, no more, no more, no more! No I can’t stand it!
Oh, such disgrace!
And such great scandal!
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
How did it end then? This tragic story
My cat resents me, my dog is bullied
The daily help left, moved back to Poland
‘Coz of that flour, my pride was stolen!
I am the joke of all the neighbours
Can’t leave the house, I can’t go outside
It’s such a terror
Cause when I do...I…
Can hear their laughter
Behind my shoulder!
“Lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol
Lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol
Lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol
Lol lol lol lol...”
Lol lol lol
LOL!
