The 2020 Home Composed Song Contest was organised by the previous year's winner, [[Bo Söderholm]] from [[Finland in the Home Composed Song Contest|Finland]], with assistance from [[Martin Faulkner]] of the [[HCSC Organising Committee]].
 
Even nearly three decades into HCSC history, the competition was able to welcome new countries. This time it was the turn of [[Lithuania in the Home Composed Song Contest|Lithuania]] to make its debut, represented by singer-songwriter Gina Sabrina. Two other debutants, Janneck Schmacke from [[Germany in the Home Composed Song Contest|Germany]] and Anders Spakling from [[Finland in the Home Composed Song Contest|Finland]], enjoyed strong results - the latter even achieving the highest number of 'douze points' in the course of finishing 5th. In all, there were 17 entries from a total of nine different countries.
 
Once again, there was an internet-based public vote (shown as [[File:Gj1.png]] in the scoresheet) and a guest jury, as often provided by Radio International (shown as [[File:Gj2.png]] in the scoresheet).

The 2020 Home Composed Song Contest was organised by the previous year's winner, Bo Söderholm from Finland, with assistance from Martin Faulkner of the HCSC Organising Committee.

Even nearly three decades into HCSC history, the competition was able to welcome new countries. This time it was the turn of Lithuania to make its debut, represented by singer-songwriter Gina Sabrina. Two other debutants, Janneck Schmacke from Germany and Anders Spakling from Finland, enjoyed strong results - the latter even achieving the highest number of 'douze points' in the course of finishing 5th. In all, there were 17 entries from a total of nine different countries.
