Contest overview

The 2005 Home Composed Song Contest was organised by Martin Faulkner from the United Kingdom in the Home Composed Song Contest, who was living in Hamburg, Germany at the time.

Sascha Mutavdzic from Bosnia and Herzegovina returned with two songs including the entry he had withdrawn the previous year, but Lobo from Spain opted to withdraw his 2005 entry shortly after the submission deadline had passed. As a result, the contest scoreboard featured a total of 23 entries from 14 participating composers.
